Staff Accountant - Manufacturing

We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading steel manufacturer in Huntington, WV that is expanding its finance team. This Staff Accountant role offers the chance to support both day-to-day accounting operations and month-end financial reporting in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. What You’ll Do Manage fixed assets, cash tracking, payroll preparation, and customer credit policies Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end close Perform cost and variance analysis, including inventory and operations review Prepare sales, financial, and operational reports using ERP and internal systems Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and federal/state regulations Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze results vs. budget and support decision-making Assist with special projects and process improvements as assigned What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) Hands-on experience in public accounting or corporate finance (minimum two years) Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP or accounting software Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in reporting and documentation Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams Excellent communication skills, with confidence in working with all levels of management This is a great opportunity to build your career in a stable, well-established organization while contributing to meaningful financial operations.
