Accounts Payable Specialist

Description Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support our client based in Union City, California on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with a detail-oriented approach to managing accounts payable processes and experienced in accounting software systems, Including Oracle or SAP. This position is anticipated to last 4-6 weeks and requires working onsite, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage and process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner. u2022 Ensure proper account coding and compliance with company policies and procedures. u2022 Utilize accounting software systems to maintain organized financial records and documentation. u2022 Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently. u2022 Handle accrual accounting processes to ensure accurate reporting. u2022 Perform audits of invoices and payments to identify errors and ensure accuracy. u2022 Process Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and other electronic transactions. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounts payable workflows and improve efficiency. u2022 Maintain strong relationships with vendors and address any payment-related inquiries. u2022 Generate detailed reports on accounts payable activities for management review. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or related accounting functions. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software systems such as Oracle or SAP ERP platforms. u2022 Strong knowledge of account coding and accrual accounting practices. u2022 Familiarity with auditing processes and financial compliance standards. u2022 Ability to process ACH payments and other electronic financial transactions. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Effective communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
