Take a virtual tour of our Machining Division by clicking here ( Kurt Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machinist II - Milling to join our team at our Machining Division. The CNC Machinist II is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating numerically controlled machine tools. This role involves performing a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive workpieces, ensuring close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications. 2nd Shift: 4:30 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. Monday - Thursday; 2:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Friday Shift Differential: Second shift employees are eligible for a 20% shift differential. Compensation The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $29.00 to $37.00. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors, including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education. Essential Functions + Work from programming instructions, operational data and machine set up instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings. + Check parts for conformance to specifications. + Operators may be required to run more than one unit simultaneously + Requires a broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC operational procedures. Work involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
