Patient Care Technician - Med/Surgical unit

Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the 4 East medical surgical this position, you will have the opportunity to learn many new skills. From taking vitals to blood draws and daily care.The primary duties of this position include supporting the admission/discharge process, changing, bathing ambulating patients, drawing blood, foley catheter care, meeting patient needs while working under the direct supervision of a nurse. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to provide the best care for our patients.EducationHigh School Grad or Equivalent Certification/LicensureCompletion of CNA program, Patient Care Technician certification, National certified medical assistant, or currently enrolled in a clinical program with at least one semester completed.ExperiencePrevious direct care experience preferredWe provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$16.92 - $25.38. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
