Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.Collaborate actively within a team of data scientists to rapidly design and deploy machine learning meta models, capturing complex scenarios across an extensive array of weapon system componentsApply Design of Experiments (DOE) and meta modeling techniques to accurately represent simulation outputsCraft and deploy sophisticated supervised ML models employing tools such as Python, PySpark, and MLflowUtilize meta models to facilitate optimization modeling, employing methods such as linear programming and heuristic approachesAdvance the automation, efficiency, and precision of meta modeling and optimization solutions by contributing innovative approaches and enhancementsCollaborate closely with data engineers, UI developers, and domain experts to refine and integrate data science methodologies into an adaptive software ecosystemOperate proficiently within a Databricks environment, managing code development, testing, and deployment through notebooksManage data science initiatives, ensuring effective coordination and prioritization across multiple team engagementsEngage with cutting-edge data science techniques to address complex, large-scale data challenges Bachelorsdegree in Data Science, Operations Research, or a related field, supplemented by relevant work experience1-3 years’ experience in a data science capacityExperience with supervised/unsupervised ML methodologiesSQL experience preferred, not requiredPython experience requiredDatabricks experience preferred, not requiredGitHub, CI/CD workflow experience desiredProficiency in Agile development methodologiesStrong background in Python, Spark notebooks, and cloud-based environments like DatabricksExperience with Python libraries such as Scikit-learnDemonstrated ability to use MLflow and similar toolsRobust analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skillsActive DoD Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferredTarget salary range:$82,040 - $141,600Disclaimer:The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
