Ata GlanceThe Pass & Seymour business of Legrand is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern for their Concord, NC office. Working with the engineering team, this intern will gain experience/knowledge with Injection Molding, Extrusion, and Stamping. They will work in an office/manufacturing environment, steel toe boots will be required. We are looking for someone will the following:Main Job Duties:Data Analysis: predictive modeling, data aggregation/summarizationAutomated reporting: Use VBA or R to create reports then store in Access, SQL ServerRoot Cause Investigation: Both manual investigation and data analysis to determine root cause of inventory inaccuracies within the facilityProcess improvement: Time studies, standard operating procedure documentation, process mappingManual and systematic data collectionProcess optimizationAbility to communicateAbility to multi-taskMeet critical deadlinesInteract with managers, staff, and floor workersEducation:Junior or Senior in, or recent graduate of, an accredited bachelor’s program in Industrial/Systems Engineering, Data Science and Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or other relevant majorExperience:Related course workSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:Must have good mechanical skills.Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to efficiently summarize information in an effective manner.Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail.
