We’re looking for a dedicatedFull-Time Foster Care Visitation Coachto supervise and support family visits for children in foster care throughoutSouthwest Michigan: Berrien Springs, Niles, Buchanan areaIn this essential role, you’ll create safe, structured environments where children and their families can rebuild trust and strengthen relationships. Your guidance will help ensure each visit is meaningful, respectful, and focused on the child’s well-being.⏰ Required Availability:Flexible schedule to include at least two days per weekduringafternoon and evening hours? Duties and Responsibilities Using a strengths-based model, coach parents on needed parenting skills by modeling, instructing, and promptingAssist parents in identifying their goals for visitations and follow up to review progress and reinforce strengthsIntervene as necessary to ensure child safety and ensure content of conversations is appropriateProvide transportation for foster children to and from family visitsSupervise children during appointments either at home, office or at other appropriate sitesObserve parent/child interactions and closely document. Report strengths and concerns to the social worker with case responsibilityProvide auxiliary services related to center’s foster care program in accordance with center, division, organization, and contract requirementsJob Qualifications Education, Training, and Licensure/CertificationAssociate’s degree in human services or related field required or high school degree and 2 years of experience in a human services fieldExperienceKnowledge of child development 1 year of experience in a day care setting or school setting strongly preferredAdditional Work RequirementsValid unrestricted driver’s license with good driving record preferred. Valid proof of automobile insurance preferred. Use of a reliable, safe and clean vehicle.
