Software Engineer, Lead Associate

Peraton is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Annapolis Junction, MD.Our team develops and supports a suite of products designed to automate manual workflows, allowing mission partners to focus on complex, high-value challenges. We follow Agile methodologies and embrace DevOps practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions.This role is based at a contractor facility that offers flexible work schedules. Telework options may also be available, depending on tasking and with customer approval.Key Qualifications:Proven experience in Full Stack Development (Front-End and Back-End) using Java and JavaScriptStrong foundation in Java, including Spring and JUnitProficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.jsWorking knowledge of JSON for data interchangeExperience with Elasticsearch and the ELK StackFamiliarity with Redis for in-memory data structuresUnderstanding of MongoDB and document-oriented databasesHands-on experience with Docker containerizationExperience with container orchestration tools like Docker Swarm or KubernetesProficiency with Git and GitLab for source controlExperience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or JenkinsActive TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.Seven (7) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
