The team is seeking an Automation Engineering Intern that can join the team for approximately 12 weeks. The person in this role will have the opportunity to participate in relevant work and gain hands on industry experience. Responsibilities: Responsible for working in corroboration with Automation engineering team members on manufacturing challenges Creating, modifying and maintaining automation documentation such as drawings and network diagramsSet up and maintain work procedures and fixing processes for automation systems.Ensure equipment and process reliability, minimizing unplanned downtime, standardizing work methodology in the automation environment.Minimum Qualifications: Sophomore, Junior or Senior year student working toward a degree in Computer Science or Electrical EngineeringProven eye for businessHigh curiosity about becoming an Automation engineer in a manufacturing environmentStrong leadership and collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications: Experience with SQL programming and relational databasesExperience in Windows operating system management and configuration as it pertains to a networked manufacturing environmentExperience in software development with Microsoft Visual Studio / Development tools and C#, JSON, C++ and VB.Net programming is a plusExperience in Rockwell Automation PLC systems is a plusWhat We Offer:Novelis' benefits say a lot about how we care for each other.
