Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Chatsworth, California. In this role, you will oversee key accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to the optimization of business processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and a meticulous approach to managing complex accounting tasks. Responsibilities: u2022 Supervise and mentor staff and senior accountants to ensure growth and effective team performance. u2022 Assist in managing the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion within a three-day timeline. u2022 Take ownership of advanced accounting matters, including inventory provisions, warranty provisions, and deferred considerations. u2022 Prepare precise financial statements and disclosures in accordance with applicable standards. u2022 Coordinate with the tax team to guarantee the timely submission of tax returns. u2022 Partner with the FP& A team to analyze financial results and generate insightful reporting. u2022 Ensure robust internal controls are maintained and documentation is consistently updated. u2022 Facilitate and manage internal and external audits, addressing inquiries and requests promptly. u2022 Collaborate with team members to identify and implement improvements to accounting and business processes. u2022 Handle ad hoc reporting and special projects as required. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. u2022 CPA certification or an equivalent credential. u2022 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably including time with a Big 4 firm. u2022 Solid understanding of US GAAP and advanced accounting practices. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications. u2022 Ability to interpret complex accounting data and apply theoretical knowledge effectively. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. u2022 Excellent communication abilities, with a demonstrated capacity for teamwork and collaboration.
