Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Huntington Beach, California. In this role, you will oversee and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position involves managing financial reporting, supervising an Accounts Receivable team member, and supporting various accounting processes to contribute to the organization's overall financial health. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial records to track assets, liabilities, income, and expenses. u2022 Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. u2022 Manage and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting. u2022 Process payroll and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. u2022 Oversee accounts payable, including invoice verification, coding, and proper account allocation. u2022 Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis and address any discrepancies or bank-related inquiries. u2022 Supervise and mentor an Accounts Receivable team member to ensure efficient operations. u2022 Support external audits by compiling required documentation and addressing auditor inquiries. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite to manage daily accounting tasks effectively. u2022 Stay updated on and adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and industry standards. Requirements u2022 Minimum of five years of experience in senior-level accounting, including cost and financial accounting. u2022 Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. u2022 Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. u2022 Experience with payroll processing and reconciliation. u2022 Proven ability to manage and reconcile general ledger and bank accounts accurately. u2022 Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. u2022 Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities.
