Principal Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Principal Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer with strong design capabilities and foundational analog experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded system development, schematic and PCB design, and system-level troubleshooting. This role focuses on hardware and PCB design. Responsibilities + Perform schematic and PCB design. + Troubleshoot systems down to the component level. + Conduct system-level troubleshooting. + Utilize schematic design tools, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes. + Work with STM32 microcontrollers and Altium Designer. + Participate in and run design reviews. + Produce prototypes from concepts. + Build upon previous designs while considering years of experience in FPGA and embedded C. Essential Skills + Proficiency in electrical engineering and electrical design. + Experience with digital circuits and digital design. + Familiarity with schematic design tools and PCB design. + Ability to troubleshoot systems to the component level. + Experience with STM32 microcontrollers. + Knowledge of mixed signal design, though the focus is not heavily on analog. + Proficiency with Altium Designer. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in the medical device industry is a plus but not required. + Ability to adapt previous designs and enhance them further. Work Environment Work on-site at a state-of-the-art facility in Santa Clara. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with flexible start times between 7am and 9am, accommodating an 8-hour shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract-to-hire position based out of Santa Clara, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $89.00/hr.
