Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic team in Fishkill, New York. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing financial data, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with various teams and contribute to strategic financial planning. Responsibilities: u2022 Analyze financial data to detect trends, variances, and areas for improvement. u2022 Prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements to ensure compliance with established accounting principles. u2022 Assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making. u2022 Monitor performance metrics and provide actionable insights to senior management. u2022 Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve financial discrepancies and improve processes. u2022 Maintain and enhance financial reporting systems and dashboards for internal use. u2022 Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and generate reports to address specific business needs. u2022 Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations, including preparation of corporate tax returns and sales tax filings. u2022 Record and review journal entries to maintain an accurate general ledger. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, demonstrating attention to detail. u2022 Proficiency in accounting standards and financial reporting practices. u2022 Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and Power Query. u2022 Familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. u2022 Excellent communication skills to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders. u2022 Experience in corporate accounting or finance; certifications like CPA or CMA are a plus.
