Job Title: BiochemistJob Description We are seeking a skilled Biochemist to perform biochemical and biophysical characterization experiments. The role involves analyzing data to elucidate quality attributes of therapeutic protein candidates and gene therapy for late-stage development and regulatory submissions. The ideal candidate will document all analytical work in an electronic laboratory notebook according to a defined protocol and accurately log sample details into the laboratory information management system or other tracking systems. Responsibilities + Conduct biochemical and biophysical characterization experiments. + Analyze data to elucidate quality attributes of therapeutic protein candidates and gene therapy. + Document all analytical work accurately in electronic laboratory notebooks. + Log sample details into the laboratory information management system. + Provide support in administrative tasks related to data management and reporting. + Communicate findings to supervisors. + Maintain and troubleshoot essential instruments in the lab. Essential Skills + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry or related field. + 2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 1-3 years with a Master's degree. + Technical proficiency in automated FPLC and/or HPLC (SEC, IEX, affinity). + Experience with electrophoresis (native and/or SDS-PAGE, western blots, 2-D gels). + Proficiency in spectroscopy (UV, fluorescence, and/or circular dichroism). + Knowledge of GLP and experience with electronic laboratory notebooks. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Hands-on experience with light scattering and/or capillary electrophoresis techniques is desirable. + Experience working in the biopharmaceutical industry is preferred.
