Role Overview Creating solutions for everything from dining and nutrition to facilities maintenance and rehabilitative services, Sodexo partners with government agencies and military organizations to improve peopleu2019s quality of life and make a positive impact. Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Production Manager to be a part of our management team at West Point MEDCOM hospital in Highland Falls, NY. The Food Production Manager will be responsible for inventory management and procurement of food and supplies at this account to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. The production manager will manage food production through kitchen staff in a medium facility and will contribute to account revenue and operating profit through contribution through cost containment and safety. The Ideal candidate will have a culinary background with a preference for experience from healthcare food service environment with patient and retail operations experience. What You'll Do - Utilizes Sodexo resources, recipes, systems and programs to direct daily operations including; food production, inventory, product deliveries, invoices, and procurement operations. - Ensures employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources to perform their job, and meet goals, cost controls and deadlines as assigned. - Establishes and maintains a safe work environment including both food and physical safety in order to comply with all regulatory and Sodexo standards - Complies with budget requirements by controlling costs (i.e. labor, inventory, equipment, materials) and making adjustments when necessary - Supervises employees by delegating, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring operating standards What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.
