Senior Property Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Property Accountant to manage the financial operations of a portfolio of properties in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of property accounting and real estate financial practices. The successful candidate will act as a vital link between property management and corporate finance teams, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting across all properties. Responsibilities: u2022 Review and validate monthly financial statements prepared by property management teams, ensuring compliance with company standards. u2022 Conduct detailed analyses of property financial performance and provide variance explanations to management. u2022 Process funding requests and confirm adherence to budgeted cash flows and financial protocols. u2022 Manage real estate tax payments and collaborate with external tax consultants to ensure timely compliance. u2022 Monitor cash flow activities, including balances, transfers, and distributions for assigned properties. u2022 Oversee general ledger reviews, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain data accuracy. u2022 Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial reports for stakeholders and investors. u2022 Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting processes to support property portfolio planning. u2022 Provide support for audits and contribute to year-end financial reporting requirements. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 At least 5 years of property accounting experience within residential or commercial real estate. u2022 Proficiency in Yardi, RealPage, and advanced Microsoft Excel functions such as pivot tables and formulas. u2022 Comprehensive knowledge of full-cycle property accounting, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. u2022 Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively. u2022 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
