Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accurate financial records, supporting compliance, and assisting with financial reporting. Your contributions will help ensure the organization maintains sound financial practices and meets its operational goals. Responsibilities: u2022 Record and post journal entries in compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards. u2022 Reconcile accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure accuracy and completeness. u2022 Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing necessary adjustments. u2022 Maintain and update general ledger accounts to reflect accurate financial data. u2022 Support the development of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. u2022 Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner. u2022 Provide necessary documentation and explanations for internal and external audits. u2022 Manage fixed asset schedules and maintain accurate depreciation records. u2022 Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulatory requirements. u2022 Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy. Requirements u2022 Solid understanding of tax-related topics, including corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax returns. u2022 Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger accounts. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes. u2022 Experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures. u2022 Ability to handle accounts payable and receivable functions effectively. u2022 Familiarity with fixed asset management and depreciation schedules. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to accuracy.
