Certified Surgical Technologist, CST (Part Time-Nights) - Labor and Delivery _Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together_ Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Part Time- 24 hours; 7:00pm-7:00am with rotating weekends Labor and Delivery highlights: 375 - 400 deliveries per month Maternal IV designation in Labor & Delivery Strong collaborative teamwork of skilled nursing for challenging antepartum and laboring patients Excellent collaboration and respect with physicians and ancillary staff Here's What You Need H.S. Diploma or Equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 required OR Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology upon hire required OR Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology upon hire preferred Labor and delivery scrub experience preferred CST - Certified Surgical Technologist graduate of an accredited surgical tech program Upon Hire Req Or CST - Certified Surgical Technologist and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 Upon Hire Req Or CST - Certified Surgical Technologist graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology Upon Hire Req Or LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire Req And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Upon Hire Required What You Will Do Assist in providing peri-operative care for a patient population that includes Infants, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics Assist with stocking Unit (Rooms and Supplies) Attend Vaginal Deliveries Preoperatively assist R.N. circulator in formulating plan of care Assist as needed in coordinating patient care peri-operatively and assume responsibility and accountability for behavior in order to maintain standards for professional nursing practice Post-operatively follow proper procedures for care of instruments, supplies and equipment. Under supervision, assist RN circulator with post-operative duties Assiss in the delivering of nursing care in a manner that minimizes the risk of transfer of infection and accidental contamination.
