This is a fully remote and hands-on role, responsible for ensuring Amentum assets are protected from cyber threats. This role provides technical expertise in multiple areas of cybersecurity to include Cloud Security and Endpoint Security. US Citizenship is required to apply. This is a US remote-telework role (you must live within the US to work in this role). Responsibilities: u00b7 Review, design, implement and support all aspects of network security, in close collaboration with IT and Projects. u00b7 Maintain and support security related networking systems, e.g. boundary protection, firewalls, DNS/URL filtering, global VPN. u00b7 Ensure availability of cyber-related network services, e.g. work closely with network engineering to design failsafe solutions. u00b7 Participate in 2nd-level Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, e.g. respond to critical security incidents escalated by an MSSP, including non-network related incidents. u00b7 Design and improve security controls protecting our users, information systems, enterprise applications and data. u00b7 Analyze, troubleshoot and investigate security-related IT system anomalies based on platform reporting, network traffic, log files and automated security alerts. u00b7 Optimize processes/tooling and automate recurring tasks. u00b7 Provide security oversight and coordination for changes to the IT landscape. u00b7 Provide off-hours support on an infrequent, but as needed basis. u00b7 Maintain and update relevant system and process documentation. u00b7 Cover other cybersecurity related assignments as needed. Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities: u00b7 Effective time management and communication skills. u00b7 Self-starter with desire for professional excellence, able to work with minimal supervision. u00b7 Excellent communication skills, able to prioritize and adapt to dynamic changes in the environment. Minimum Requirements: u00b7 Associateu2019s degree plus at least 6 years hands-on experience as a cybersecurity network engineer; a Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience; 4 years with a Masteru2019s. u00b7 Current Security+ and Network+; or similar industry certification. u00b7 Must be a U.S. Citizen. u00b7 US Remote-Telework role (you must live within the US to work remotely). u00b7 Expert experience in network protection and related concepts, e.g. boundary protection, network segmentation, firewalls, endpoint security, threat hunting. u00b7 Deep understanding of network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs). u00b7 Strong experience in network architectures (e.g. LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, Cloud). u00b7 Demonstrated skills to debug network related issues, including performance. u00b7 Good understanding of data protection (encryption PKI/SSL/TLS, authentication and access control). u00b7 Ability to travel up to 10%.
