IT Auditor

Description We are looking for a skilled IT Auditor to join our team on a contract basis in Cincinnati, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in independently testing controls, with a particular focus on cybersecurity and IT governance frameworks. This role offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in auditing information systems while ensuring compliance with established standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct thorough evaluations of IT controls to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. u2022 Perform independent testing of IT systems and processes, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities. u2022 Assess the effectiveness of cybersecurity measures and recommend improvements where needed. u2022 Develop and execute audit programs to evaluate information systems and related processes. u2022 Analyze audit findings and prepare clear, concise reports for management and stakeholders. u2022 Utilize frameworks such as CobiT to assess IT governance and control effectiveness. u2022 Evaluate IT General Controls (ITGC) and ensure they align with best practices. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address audit results and implement corrective actions. u2022 Provide recommendations to enhance existing controls and improve overall system security. u2022 Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure audit practices remain current. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in auditing information systems and related processes. u2022 Strong understanding of IT General Controls (ITGC) and their applications. u2022 Familiarity with audit frameworks such as CobiT and their implementation. u2022 Ability to independently test and assess IT controls without supervision. u2022 Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices. u2022 Proficiency in analyzing audit findings and presenting actionable recommendations. u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with teams. u2022 Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
