CNC MACHINIST

As a Skilled Machinist, you will be responsible for producing precision components that power heavy equipment and industrial solutions worldwide. You will operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines while ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate, set up, and adjust CNC and manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, boring machines, etc.) to produce precision parts for large diesel and natural gas terpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAT quality specifications.Perform machining operations including cutting, turning, milling, drilling, tapping, and finishing to tight tolerances.Monitor machine performance, make necessary offsets/adjustments, and conduct basic spect finished components using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges) to ensure conformance to plete routine maintenance on machines and tooling; report issues proactively.Adhere to Caterpillar’s safety, environmental, and lean manufacturing standards.Document production data, maintain records, and participate in continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification in machining strongly preferred.Minimum 2-4 years of machinist experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.Proficiency in reading blueprints, GD&T, and interpreting engineering specifications.Strong experience with CNC programming offsets and G/M codes (Fanuc or Siemens control knowledge is a plus).Skilled in precision measurement and inspection techniques.Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and machining best practices.Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional production team.Willingness to work shifts (including nights and weekends as needed).Desired AttributesStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mitment to safety and quality as top priorities.Continuous improvement mindset with experience in lean manufacturing.
