As a Division Safety Manager, you will ensure compliance with all Company and governmental safety and environmental health regulations. You will manage the planning, development, implementation, and administration of safety policies, programs, and training for assigned region(s).What you'll do:Protect the Company’s employees, customers, and assets against losses, injuries and accidents by directing, implementing, and overseeing the administration of safety and key loss prevention programsEnsure safety compliance by overseeing OSHA, DOT, and other compliance related activitiesProtect the Company’s employees, customers, and assets against losses, injuries and accidents through enforcement of safe work practicesPrevent accidents and other safety exposures by investigating, identifying causes, and developing preventative measures and practicesBuild successful business partnerships by communicating with corporate Safety department, customer safety managers, and regional management and employeesMeet safety and environmental health goals by developing and implementing training programs consistent with governmental regulations and business and customer needsMitigate risk exposure by identifying sources of safety and environmental risk and developing needed programs, policies, and proceduresOther duties assigned as neededRequirements:Bachelor’s degree, preferably relating to Safety and Health; Master’s degree preferred3 to 5 years of professional-level safety related experienceAbility to persuasively communicate with all levels of managementStrong training and presentation skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and other operations applicationsStrong knowledge in all areas of OSHA and ANSI including, but not limited to: CFR 1910 and 1926 as well as legislation affecting these areasKnowledge in all areas of FMCR’s as they relate to the rental industryOccupational Health-Safety and/or accredited professional certification preferredThis position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.Why join us?We don’t just “talk the talk!” We’re an award-winning company (recently named a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2023) that truly cares about our people - That’s why we offer best-in-class benefits and perks that will support you and your family.
