DESCRIPTION:We are looking for a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead our safety initiatives and ensure a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment. This role is critical to maintaining our commitment to employee well-being and regulatory excellence. You will oversee all aspects of safety—from OSHA compliance and training to incident investigation and budget management. Safety Manager will have 2 direct reports - safety specialist & hourly safety technician, and the training coordinator to report to this role as well in the near future. REQUIREMENTS: •Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of safety leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. •Strong knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA standards, and Workers Compensation laws. •Proven experience in hazard recognition, incident investigation, and case management. •Certified in First Aid, AED, and CPR. •Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). •Ability to work independently and collaboratively with plant leadership. •Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10 days/year). •Needs to have organization skills, attention to detail, needs strong leadership, ability to drive the Health & Safety programs. •Will partner with the Environmental Manager as well as the Facility Nurse on driving the safety culture in the plant. This person will be hands-on, be comfortable on the plant floor engaging with the workforce. ROLE: •Lead Safety Programs: Develop, implement, and continuously improve regulatory and company safety programs (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI). •Policy Management: Create, review, and enforce plant safety policies and procedures. •Training Oversight: Assign, track, and report on all regulatory and safety training across the facility. •Workers Compensation: Manage cases including doctor visits, light duty assignments, reporting, and financial forecasting. •Hazard Identification: Train employees, conduct audits, develop corrective actions, and monitor progress. •Budget Control: Oversee the health & safety budget including PPE, supplies, and first aid resources. •Reporting: Prepare and present weekly/monthly safety performance reports. •Incident Response: Serve as Medical First Responder and lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and case management. •Change Management: Conduct safety reviews for Management of Change processes. -----------------------------------
