Would you be intrigued to join our team of innovators?As a Professional Civil Engineer and vital member of Rail and Transit Team in the Northeast Region, youu2019ll develop design elements (such as horizontal and vertical track alignments and trackwork components) on a variety of exiting large rail projects so we can shape lasting solutions for the future. Leading and working alongside a team, youu2019ll work on projects from concept to completion. In this position you will be supporting various aspect of track/rail design, calculations and engineering services on both design-bid-build and design-build projects.Youu2019ll be responsible for creating design and drawings using software tools and resources supporting our clientsu2019 overall project goals. Youu2019ll support the development of Contract Documents for Construction; and lead, coordinate, and be responsible for a variety of tasks from concept to completion. You will be counted on to facilitate completion of project assignments with those of other engineers and with other technical disciplines as necessary; and will provide written responses and memorandums as related to project tasks. Weu2019ll ask you to develop technical specifications and to prepare construction cost estimates for rail/transit projects. By joining Jacobs, youu2019ll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other. u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree in Engineeringu2022 Licensed and registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of New York and willingness to pursue PE in other Northeast states (if does not already hold)u2022 Has demonstrated years of professional experience on rail and transit projectsu2022 Professional expertise with MicroStation and/or InRail (or AutoCad)u2022 Knowledge of AREMA and other local railroad criteriau2022 Experience working with Northeast Transportation Agencies - MTA, Amtrak, NJ TRANSIT, etc.u2022 Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skillsu2022 Demonstrates strong problem-solving mindset working in Team Environmentu2022 Excellent communication skillsu2022 Strong focus on client serviceu2022 Coordinating the development of bid documents including plans, specifications, bid items, and construction cost estimatesu2022 Ability to coordinate, develop and assemble bid documents including plan sets and specifications meeting client expectationsJacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
