About the position Wirecutter is seeking an editorial intern to embed with our team that beauty products. As an intern, you will report directly to the teamu2019s Editors. This role is based out of our office and test facility in Long Island City, New York. About Our Summer Internships: + The duration is 10 weeks long, starting on June 1, 2026. + The rate of pay for this role is $20.00 per hour. + Interns work 40 hours per week. Responsibilities + Work with writers and editors in our test lab to design and execute testing of beauty products + Help conduct panel testing with focus groups. + Assist with placing product orders for testing and unboxing and organizing products once they arrive at the office space. Pitch in with set-ups and clean-ups pertaining to product testing. + Contribute research, reporting, and writing to product guides and articles when appropriate. Pitch ideas within our team and to related teams when applicable. + Helping to administer taste tests (organizing, labeling, and serving brand-concealed samples) Basic Qualifications + 6+ months of Journalistic experience or training Preferred Qualifications + Enthusiasm for product research and testing methods. Experience working in a laboratory or research-focused setting is a plus. + Strong research skills and attention to detail. + Excellent organizational skills; strong ability to collaborate within a busy team in a dynamic setting. + Self-organized and motivated, with effective communication skills. + Ability to work independently when necessary, with minimal oversight. + Interest in video, social media, and visual storytelling is a plus. + Ability to work on deadline on multiple projects. + General enthusiasm for the beats our team covers. + Strong creativity and problem-solving skills.
