PositionOverview The Clinical Lab Associate I, Specimen Processing isresponsible for performing the day-to-day operations of the SpecimenProcessing Department including, but not limited to, lab productivityand process line support, such as: accessioning, processing, automationusage, sample racking, lab maintenance, and lab cleaning, as well asother lab support tasks. The Clinical Lab Associate I, SpecimenProcessing follows all Laboratory policies and procedures and maintainsaccurate data reporting practices to ensure consistent and diligentexecution of Specimen Processing. This role supports the mission andvision of Exact Sciences Laboratories and shares the responsibility ofensuring the Specimen Processing department operates effectively. Thefunction of this position is performed under the guided direction of theSpecimen Processing Supervisor or designee. This role will trainMonday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm for the first 3 weeks. Once training iscomplete, the shift is Tuesday - Friday 12:30pm-11:00pm. EssentialDuties include but are not limited to the following: Perform primaryresponsibilities listed below completely, timely and accurately: Supportand comply with the company's Quality Management System policies andprocedures. Maintain documentation of problems and problem resolutionsfollowing Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Support department goalsthat align with organizational priorities. Work with leadership toidentify and progress on individual development goals that align withorganizational priorities. Support operational initiatives including,but not limited to, quality and process improvements, SOP development,department inspections and audits. Complete all mandatory trainingassignments and annual competencies within established timelines. Handleand dispose of all specimens following standard precautions andapplicable safety policies. Understand and comply with all lab andsafety regulations. Support employee engagement initiatives andactivities to maintain and improve team morale.
