Title: Staff Software EngineerThis position is based in our Campbell, California offices. We are actively building a team who is focused on developing novel solutions for this complex disease - a disease in which one in four adults will face in their lifetime.What Youll DoWe are looking for a talented and experienced Software Engineer to take part in the development of Telos software. As one of the key members of the software team, you will architect, develop, and test the software applications that the physicians will interact with when using the Telos robotics system. You will work closely with other software engineers as well as system and UX engineers to design and implement solutions that meet clinical needs and requirements. You are willing to learn outside your comfort zone and to teach others.Design and implement responsive UI applications that include real time media rendering and other complex graphics components. Work closely with other engineers (software, clinical, systems, UX) as part of a focused cross-functional team developing software for a medical applicationImprove user streaming experience using gstreamer packageUnderstand user needs, clinical needs & customer input requirements to drive software developmentParticipate in design discussions and code reviewsWhat Youll Bring: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and 6+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience8+ years designing and developing software applicationsStrong background in object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patternsExperience with C++ programming and multi-threaded applications Experience with Qt framework Experience with other programming languages such as Python or Rust Excellent communication and documentation skillsExperience with software development in a regulated industry (IEC62304 preferred).
