Chestnut Family Health Center is seeking a Nursing Coordinator to join our team in Maryville, Illinois. The Nursing Coordinator will oversee nursing services, ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, and provide leadership and support to nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, integrated patient care.Chestnut Health Systems™ is a leading provider of integrated health care services. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A.This role is Student Loan Repayment Eligible.National Health Service Corp (NHSC) LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM (LRP) -The NHSC LRP offers up to $100,000 for providers working in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) in Illinois.Supervise nursing services at the assigned Chestnut Family Health Center location(s) and the Maryville Residential units. Coordinate nursing coverage and ensure compliance with all governing policies and procedures, including JCAHO, Chestnut Health Systems, the Illinois Nurse Practice Act, HRSA, Medicare/Medicaid, and Vaccines for Children.Encourage integration of Chestnut services, including collaboration with the mobile unit.Promote and reinforce evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care aligned with Chestnut’s recovery philosophy.Provide leadership, direction, and role-modeling to foster positive interactions with staff, patients, and community partners.Hire, train, evaluate, and ensure competency of nursing staff; participate in program development and required trainings.Oversee completion of all required documentation, including progress notes, medical/nursing forms, and quality improvement measures.Assess and monitor patients for acute physical and emotional needs, implementing appropriate interventions and consulting with prescribers as needed.Provide or coordinate whole-person health consultations for patients and families.Serve as a liaison between prescribers, patients, laboratories, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.Administer, evaluate, and document TB skin tests in accordance with guidelines.Uphold Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence and maintain confidentiality of all organizational and patient information.Perform other duties as assigned.Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois required.Bachelor’s degree in nursing or RN license with 5 years of post-license experience in a critical-thinking nursing position (e.g., Mental Health, Substance Use, ER, Acute Care, ICU, etc.).Minimum of one year of supervisory, administrative, or charge nurse experience.Experience providing direct client care and oversight of other nurses.Basic computer proficiency, including MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and EMR systems.Are you intrigued by this job but don’t meet every single requirement? There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
