REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.This individual will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all aspects of raw materials from incoming loads through to the melting & pouring process.Responsible for working with purchasing on proper grading of scrap to include down grading or rejectionApproves inbound scheduling requestsDirect & control scrap & alloy inventories to include monitoring & correcting computerized inventories, chemistry & cost (using Oracle & Solver)Schedule pre-processing equipment to run scraps efficiently to keep lowest cost scrap available in front of furnace production runsFormulate charge make-up (blends) to achieve customer standards at lowest cost with available scrapMaintain and conduct quarterly inventories to assure accuracyIdentifies Affiliate metal needsOrganize special projects and materials testing as required for business needsDirect quarterly raw material physical inventories.Weekly blend compliance reportingManage breakage and oversize usageBachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and years of experience2-4 years working with aluminum scrap & alloys preferred.Proven ability to function with minimal supervision while also leading others toward plant goalsAbility to plan and organize effective and efficientlyResults and detail orientedStrong interpersonal and communication skills (teamwork oriented) a mustCommitted to high standards of ethics and integrityDesire for advancement within the organizationThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
