Description We are looking for a meticulous Tax Staff member to assist with tax preparation, reporting, and compliance for a variety of clients, including individuals, corporations, and partnerships. This role is ideal for entry-level or early-career professionals seeking to develop their expertise in tax laws, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities. u2022 Ensure accurate and timely tax filings by adhering to all applicable regulations and deadlines. u2022 Analyze financial data and documentation to assist in the preparation of tax reports and filings. u2022 Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on the status of tax filings. u2022 Support senior tax professionals in resolving client inquiries and addressing tax-related issues. u2022 Participate in ongoing training to remain current on tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices. u2022 Utilize tax software and accounting tools, such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, to manage and process data efficiently. u2022 Assist in preparing complex tax returns under the supervision of senior team members. u2022 Contribute to team efforts by providing support during peak tax seasons. u2022 Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge through exposure to diverse tax scenarios. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA eligibility or progress is preferred. u2022 Proficiency in using tax preparation software and accounting tools such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines, especially during busy tax periods. u2022 Basic knowledge of accounting principles, tax codes, and relevant regulations. u2022 Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members. u2022 Prior experience through internships or academic projects in taxation is a plus. u2022 A motivated and eager-to-learn attitude, suitable for recent graduates or entry-level professionals.
