Job Summary and Responsibilities The FLOOR TECH maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean and sanitary condition by performing specialized cleaning tasks, which involve operating heavy-duty equipment and using special cleaning equipment. Duties include: + Cleans assigned areas according to established standards and 12-step cleaning process. + Scrubs, strips, waxes and buffs floors utilizing automatic and multi-speed floor machines and other specialized equipment. + Maintains and cleans assigned equipment. + Arranges and/or transports furniture, equipment and supplies. + Documents and reports items needing repair and hazardous conditions requiring correction. + Stocks supply cart in assigned areas. This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Job Requirements + Must have minimum one-year floor care experience or more in Healthcare or Nursing Home. + High School Diploma or equivalent + Fire Safety card required.
