Our people are the backbone of our success — men and women who take pride in their work, look out for one another, and serve our customers with integrity.Position SummaryWe are looking for a dependable and safety-minded Lumberman to join our Lakewood yard team. This position is responsible for cutting engineered lumber products (LVL, PSL, LSL, and other specialty beams) to customer specifications using chainsaws and related equipment. The ideal candidate has experience in a lumberyard or construction setting and understands the importance of accuracy, safety, and teamwork. This is a full time, Monday thru Friday job from 2:30pm to 11:00pm with some occasional overtime work required. Duties include, but are not limited to the following primary duties: Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate chainsaws and other cutting equipment to trim and size engineered lumber products.Follow detailed cutting lists and customer specifications spect and maintain saws, blades, and equipment daily for safe anize, stage, and label cut material for delivery or pickup.Assist in loading and unloading trucks and maintaining yard organization.Follow all Ganahl Lumber safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) municate with the Yard Foreman and Sales Team to ensure accuracy and timely completion of orders.QualificationsPrior experience using chainsaws or similar cutting tools in a yard or construction environment preferred.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.Ability to lift and move heavy lumber (up to 75 lbs).Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.Ability to read and interpret work orders, measurements, and diagrams.Basic math skills and measurement accuracy (fractions, decimals, etc.).Work EnvironmentOutdoor yard environment — exposure to weather, noise, and dust.Requires use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots.Why GanahlCompetitive hourly wage with overtime opportunities.ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Program) - become a company owner.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and holiday pay.Career growth within a 140-year-old, family-owned company.Apply in person at our Lakewood location or online at
