This position's descriptions designed to outline the primary job duties and qualifications, but is not limited to cross training responsibilities. We offer, on site training and mentoring for all positions.BASIC OVERVIEWThe Facilities Maintenance Associate is responsible for various duties related to the overall maintenance and operations of the warehouse and property using a variety of power and maintenance tools and several different body mechanics including, but not limited to, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assist in the repair and maintenance of various pieces of warehouse equipment, including conveyor belts and forklifts, Crown equipment, and the periodic movement and upkeep of racking Support a variety of maintenance projects related to operational improvements and preventative maintenance of tools and equipment. Tasks can include but not limited to plumbing work, painting, flooring repair, and upkeep Perform minor fixes to building and property such as repairing broken locks, damage to walls, replacing light bulbs as needed Install necessary appliances and equipment as needed Maintain the warehouse yard, including the upkeep and disposal of pallets/skids Operate various pieces of equipment, including forklifts and floor scrubbers Report to process improvement and facilities maintenance manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress Report any forklift issues to manager promptly to ensure they are properly resolved Maintain a clean work area, including the removal of empty boxes from bins or aisles as needed Communicate regularly with management to ensure that all equipment is in working order and the Company maintains a safe work environment Adhere to attendance policy by maintaining regular, predictable on-site attendance, working overtime as needed Other duties as assignedSHIFT SCHEDULESFriday - Monday7:am - 5:pm*This position may require scheduled overtimeWAGEStarting Wage is an hour, with the potential raise every 6 months of up to ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.Physical RequirementsWork is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including hours/day.Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to lbs.QualificationsExperience1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; Maintenance experience and forklift certification preferredEducationThis role does not require a degree.
