The Women’s Basketball Team Coordinator must possess a broad knowledge of the game. They must understand all signals used by basketball officials, and they must be able to follow the game. They must understand the terminology used in basketball and understand the rules of college basketball and the NCAA.During practice - on a daily basis the coordinator will handle equipment needs for the team and the student-athletes. They also may keep track of time, keep score and track statistics during drills.The coordinator will occasionally use software programs and a laptop, tablet or computer to keep statistical information from all of the team’s games and practices. They may occasionally video tape practices and/or games.Coordinators must exhibit proper conduct when representing the team. They must follow the rules of the team, NCAA and the University. Team coordinators must show sportsmanship, respectfulness, and courtesy. They must adhere to team policies for dress and appearance.This position will be required to work nights/weekends to adhere to the team schedule. Good oral and written communications skills; Knowledge of sport a plus. Ability to work well with others. Ability to maintain a reliable and dependable attendance record.
