Assistant Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Job Description: Seeking a nd Shift Assistant Production Supervisor who will play a key role in overseeing daily production operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards, enforcing company policies, and supporting employee training. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent people skills, and knowledge of manufacturing processes. Essential Duties: Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate production schedules and goals to employees. Provide visible leadership and guidance to production staff, encouraging continuous improvement and best practices. Empower team members to take ownership of their work and make decisions in a self-directed manner. Ensure efficient use of manpower and resources while staying within budget. Collaborate with production leadership on personnel matters including evaluations, disciplinary actions, documentation, hiring, and terminations. Establish and enforce standard work processes and production goals with accountability for results. Monitor production schedules to ensure operations run at expected rates, reviewing waste and downtime for improvement opportunities. Enforce attendance policies, track daily attendance, and ensure accurate cost center reporting. Update communication/performance boards, participate in safety inspections, GEMBA walks, and other reviews or audits as assigned. Complete and submit all shift reports before the end of shift and ensure smooth handoff to the next shift. Qualifications: Self-motivated with strong judgment and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to operate a forklift and successfully pass certification. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred). Previous experience in manufacturing or production supervision strongly preferred. Shift Details: Shift: nd Shift - Mid Shift (: PM - : PM), Monday through Friday.
