Sr. Cost Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Santa Ana, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, and supporting month-end closing activities. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining compliance and delivering reliable financial insights. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting. u2022 Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to support financial integrity. u2022 Create and review journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy. u2022 Perform detailed account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and align financial transactions. u2022 Analyze financial data to support decision-making and budgeting processes. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting operations. u2022 Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in cost accounting or general accounting roles. u2022 Strong understanding of month-end close and general ledger processes. u2022 Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries. u2022 Expertise in account and bank reconciliations. u2022 Familiarity with financial analysis and reporting. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. u2022 Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
