Maintenance Mechanic - No Electrical Required

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic (Manufacturing Environment) + Union Environment + 1st shift 6 am - 2:30 pm (position will require rotating shift after 8 months) + Huntington Park, CA + $28-32/hr (depending on experience) + Long term with full benefits + No Electrical experience required (it is a plus) Responsibilities: Troubleshoots and fixes manufacturing equipment such as motors, drives, gear boxes, rollers, timing issues at the plastic extrusion & conversion plant quickly and efficiently u2022 Adjust components to obtain and maintain proper performance based on manufacturer specifications and company guidelines u2022 Install control and Distribution equipment such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels. u2022 Monitors and ensures that the equipment is in excellent condition for operation u2022 Capable of utilizing, obtaining, and retaining information gathered from the manufacturers manuals and drawings and using this information in maintaining those components and processes within the manufacturersu2019 specification, and training others on such information u2022 Provide Maintenance Supervisorsu2019 with updated information on machinery conditions and report major issues throughout the day. (i.e. equipment issues, etc) u2022 Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on the equipment. u2022 Rebuild and repairs faulty equipment or systems. u2022 Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. u2022 Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. u2022 Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. u2022 Other duties may be assigned.
