We are looking for a dedicated AVP Workforce Health and Safety like you to be a part of our team. Job Summary and Qualifications The Assistant Vice President (VP) of Workforce Health & Safety promotes high quality, patient-centered care by providing centralized oversight and direction for Occupational Health, Employee Health, Well-Being initiatives and affiliated programs. The AVP assists in strategic planning and operational improvement for the service line across an HCA group(s) and executes on opportunities to improve quality, scale best practices, and reduce controllable variances. Through partnership with stakeholders including Quality, Workers Compensation, Human Resources, Infection Prevention, Operations and others, the AVP fosters a culture that exemplifies the vision/mission/values of the organization. Major Responsibilities: u2022Cultivates a superior clinical identity by leading accountable divisions in the development and implementation of evidence-based practices, employee safety initiatives, and quality strategies. Ensures standards of care are established and scaled broadly. Engages the medical staff as meaningful partners. u2022Leads efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and employee health outcomes. Assumes responsibility for improvement of workforce health performance. u2022Stays abreast of occupational health industry standards, CDC recommendations, and other guidance pertinent to employee health functions. Executes measures to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other employee health regulations. u2022Aligns occupational health initiatives with HCA Healthcare best practices u2022Maintains solid line reporting leadership over all workforce health and safety employees across an HCA group(s), including division workforce health and safety directors, market leaders, facility and/or ILOB employee and occupational health teams, and others. Responsible for all management functions across an HCA group(s) including staffing decisions, performance management, and development activities. u2022Accountable for employee health/occupational health financial performance across an HCA group(s). Operates with financial rigor to drive key business decisions including but not limited to opening/closing of clinic locations, service rationalization, consolidation efforts, and staffing decisions. u2022Oversees facilitation of large initiatives such as technology implementation, policy adaptation and revision, respiratory protection program, respiratory disease response and others. u2022Serves as responsible party for employee health participation in large HCA initiatives and risk reduction plans u2022Partners with Human Resources to maximize efficiency and experience in new hire employee health onboarding process u2022Serves as key member of corporate workforce health and safety leadership team providing oversight to larger corporate team and projects as applicable. u200bu200bu200bu200bu200bu200bu200b Education & Experience: u00b7 Masteru2019s Degree requiredu200b u00b7 u200bDoctorate Degree (RN, APN, MD, or other clinical) oru200b u200b10+ years experience in a clinical setting with u200b5+ years experience in healthcare management required u00b7 Currently licensed as a registered nurse, medical doctor, or licensed professional in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation preferred. u00b7 Occupational Health Certification (ABOHN) preferred HCA Healthcare (Corporate) , based in Nashville, Tennessee, supports a variety of corporate roles from business operations to administrative positions.
