Summary: The MaterialsHandler I/II/III assists in the day-to-day activities relating toinventory control functions supporting pharmaceutical fill/finishoperations. The main responsibility of this position is to assist withall aspects of logistics such as receiving, shipping, data entry,inventory control, labeling and maintaining all associated cGMPdocumentation as needed. Additional responsibilities include creatingand updating log sheets and inventory cards, shipping activities, andall inventory movement functions including updating databases, labelingand maintaining all associated cGMP documentation. Essential Duties andResponsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual mustbe able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essentialduties and responsibilities include the following but other duties maybe assigned. Loads and/or unloads material between dock and truck withhand truck where applicable. Moves materials between statuses andlocations within the plants Processes delivered materials according toprocedure placing an added immediacy on temperature sensitive receipts.Delivers received shipments accordingly Prepares work-in-process (WIP)and lot specific kits supporting Manufacturing Processes manufacturingand shipping supplies as outlined in procedures Records and maintainsaccurate inventory logs for all manufacturing components. Reports oninventory Attends semi-annual DOT and IATA training as required Conductsmaterials handling operations in strict accordance with written SOPsPerforms cycle counts, expiration date maintenance and maintains allmaterial storage locations Assures that operations are conducted incompliance with strict cGMP procedures Completes chain of custody formsand updates all receiving logs Issues lot numbers to incoming materialsper established procedure Completes QC test requests for sampling andtesting of raw materials Performs other duties as required SpecialDemands: The physical demands described here are representative of thosethat must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentialfunctions of this job.
