Selux Corporation is seeking an entry level Sales Representative, Technical Lighting. This role is designed to provide comprehensive training in the technical aspects of architectural lighting, project management, inside sales, and customer relationship building. The successful candidate will develop a deep understanding of Selux products, sales processes, and the lighting industry, with the goal of progressing into a Regional Sales Manager role within 2-4 years.Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000/yr plus bonusFull benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k matchSupport Regional Sales Managers by creating sales presentations and assisting at trade shows and other events, including Innovation Center visits. Provide sales support for agents in remote areas, visit agents and provide samples and product training.Training & Development Phase:Participate in structured training covering:Selux product lines, applications, and technical specificationsManufacturing processLighting industry standards and basic photometric principlesProject management processes and software toolsSales cycle and CRM toolsQuoting, pricing strategies, and inside sales supportShadow and support Regional Sales Managers and Inside Sales teamAttend industry webinars, workshops, and trade eventsSales Support & Inside Sales:Prepare sales quotes, submittals, and proposalsAssist with creation of sales presentations and training materialsVisit agents to promote Selux products and supportRespond to customer and representative inquiries in a timely and professional mannerMaintain accurate records in ERP and sales tracking systemsProject Management:Track project milestones and coordinate timelines with cross-functional teamsHelp ensure product delivery aligns with project schedulesSupport customer follow-up and issue resolution during project lifecyclePhysical Demands: Requires frequent travel. May require frequent standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling and may require heavy lifting up to approximately 50 lbsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Technical aptitude required; lighting knowledge preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsEagerness to learn technical concepts and sales strategyProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Powerpoint and ExcelAbility to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentPreferred:Internship or experience in sales, customer service, or project coordinationFamiliarity with lighting, electrical, or construction industriesExperience with CRM and ERP tools (e.g., Syteline, Superoffice)https://www.selux.us/EmploymentSelux Corporation has a successful track record of tremendous growth and sustainability as a world-wide manufacturer of architecturally designed luminaires, nestled right here in the Hudson Valley.
