In this role, you’ll champion a safety-first culture, lead a skilled technical team to deliver accurate and timely results, and serve as a trusted representative of Element during customer interactions. This is a dynamic opportunity to grow your career while contributing to the success of a global leader in testing, inspection, and certificationLead and support departmental initiatives aligned with site safety and quality standardsPartner with management to drive efficient operations, continuous improvement, and departmental growthSupervise and mentor technical staff, ensuring accurate, timely delivery of testing servicesOversee daily lab operations with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and customer satisfactionServe as a key contact for clients, providing responsive communication, status updates, and support during on-site visitsCollaborate with internal experts and support teams to define testing scopes and ensure successful project executionContribute to preparation of accurate, timely quotations and assist with complex proposalsSupport supervisory functions including hiring input, performance feedback, scheduling, and staff developmentTranslate client needs into actionable testing plans that deliver reliable results and regulatory complianceChampion a culture of safety and adherence to all Element quality and compliance standardsContribute to project management and operational excellence initiatives as assignedA bachelor’s degree in a technical field and college level courses completed or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role in an industry similar or related to the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry with a diploma or GED certificate preferredWorking knowledge of laboratory safetyStrong computer skills and basic mathematical skills with the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plusAbility to lift 50 lbs. on occasion and stand on feet for long periods of timeAbility to work primarily alone and make independent decisions during the course of the work dayAbility to communicate and demonstrate the importance of meeting all applicable requirements of assigned departmentProven ability to read, understand and interpret program or test requirements and have ability to analyse and translate into finished testing or report dataExcellent communication skills and telephone etiquetteProficient skill in word processing and spreadsheet softwareHigh impact of experience on the business at the local commercial, technical and operational levelProven and recognized ability to provide accurate and timely status reports to internal and external customersAbility to track multiple testing jobs / programs from start to finish and assist with contract review of job status daily, including follow-up emails and phone calls daily to and from internal and external customers#LI-TK1Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
