As a Project Environmental Scientist, you will join our Site Assessment and Remediation Team in our Westfiled, MA office, where play a key role in delivering vital remediation, public utility, and infrastructure improvement projects across the Northeast. At Tighe & Bond, you’ll find an engaging, hybrid work environment, a culture of collaboration, and the resources to support your professional growth and development.Our Site Assessment and Remediation Teamand ProjectsOur team provides comprehensive environmental services, including ASTM site assessments, subsurface investigations, soil gas/vapor intrusion evaluations, and geophysical studies. We specialize in remedial investigations, design, and implementation, along with complex soil and groundwater management projects. Additionally, we manage site remediation and regulatory closure to ensure compliance and long-term sustainability for each project.What You’ll Be DoingAs a valuable part of our Site Assessment and Remediation Team, a Project Environmental Scientistwill support a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience with responsibilities such as:Performing fieldwork activities, including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling, drilling oversight, and remediation system monitoringConduct site inspections, evaluate environmental conditions, and document findingsAssist in analyzing and interpreting environmental data to assess contamination levels and trendsPrepare technical reports, including environmental site assessment reports, work plans, and remedial action plansEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulationsCoordinate with subcontractors, laboratories, and regulatory agencies as neededMaintain detailed field notes and complete documentation in accordance with project requirementsAdhere to health and safety protocols, including OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training requirementsTravel to project sites as necessary to conduct field assessments and monitor remediation activitiesParticipate in the emergency response on-call rotation for power utility companiesWhat You’ll NeedHave at least 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related fieldHold a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or EngineeringMaintain an active OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certificationCarry a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a good driving recordWork effectively and maintain strong relationships with teams and clients to meet project goalsAdapt strategies and approaches based on evolving group and client needsEnsure accuracy in analysis, reporting, and documentationPresent ideas clearly, both verbally and in writingPreferred RequirementsTechnical writing experience specifically with Massachusetts Contingency Plan report preparationExperience in performing field work and date analysisYour Financial and Wellness BenefitsCompensation is based on skills and experience as reflected in the pay range belowAnnual Bonus, Profit Sharing, and Employee Stock Ownership PlanBest in Class Medical InsuranceDental & Vision InsuranceWellness Rewards and ReimbursementsTuition Reimbursement and Qualified Student Loan Paydown ContributionsReimbursements for Licensure/ Certification Preparation and FeesSummer Fridays Flextime and Hybrid Work EnvironmentPet Insurance and Adoption AssistanceWays to Grow Your CareerWe provide a structured career path with opportunities for professional development through tuition reimbursement, internal training, conference attendance, and professional memberships.
