Apply now to be part of our innovative team.ResponsibilitiesKey Projects and Responsibilities as a Materials Project Management Intern, you will lead three major initiatives:Material Component Packaging ImprovementDesign and implement improved packaging for material componentsCreate and execute project plans, timelines, and validation criteriaEngage stakeholders (suppliers, engineering, production) and secure buy-inCoordinate prototype development, testing, and feedback loopsImplement new packaging solutions into production and measure resultsMaterial Handling Process OptimizationAnalyze current material handling processes end-to-end (receiving to line-side)Conduct observations, time studies, and value-stream mapping to identify bottlenecksDevelop a data-driven improvement plan using lean principlesPilot changes, track KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, cost), and standardize successful practicesContainer Fleet UtilizationCollect and validate information on the current container fleet across the facilityPerform physical inventory counts, labeling, and condition assessmentsDevelop or enhance digital tracking methods to monitor container location and statusAnalyze utilization across the production cycle and recommend fleet right-sizing and flow improvementsPresent findings and recommendations to leadershipDaily ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with cross-functional teams (Materials, Production, Engineering, Quality, Suppliers)Track project metrics and milestones; report progress and risksMaintain project documentation and update standard work as neededParticipate in team meetings and support continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsEducationCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following:Supply Chain ManagementBusinessProcess EngineeringMaterials EngineeringManufacturing EngineeringProject Managementor relative fieldStanding: At least a sophomore by the start of the internship/co-opSkills and AbilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteBasic understanding of lean manufacturing principlesStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and in teamsPhysical RequirementsAbility to walk the production floor regularlyCapable of lifting and handling materials as neededExtended periods of computer workStanding, bending, and moving throughout the facility2025-10199Intern
