DescriptionWe are seeking a Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) Designer to join RBKS Industrial Design team. This role will lead the development and implementation of CMF strategies across Ring, Blink, and Amazon Key hardware product portfolio, driving innovation while ensuring aesthetic excellence, functionality, and reliability. The ideal candidate will combine creative vision with technical expertise to shape RBKS design through thoughtful material selection and finish development. Key job responsibilities u2022 Lead end-to-end CMF development for Ring, Blink, Amazon Key hardware products, from concept to mass production u2022 Develop and implement comprehensive CMF strategies aligned with Ring's brand identity and product vision u2022 Conduct trend analysis and market research to inform color and material decisions u2022 Create and present CMF proposals to stakeholders, including development teams and executives u2022 Collaborate with suppliers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing feasibility u2022 Direct prototype development and oversee color/finish matching processes u2022 Drive material innovation and sustainability initiatives u2022 Maintain and document CMF specifications and guidelines u2022 Coordinate with international teams and suppliers, including participation in global meetings u2022 Build and maintain an internal library of materials and finishes u2022 Lead advanced material research to support next-generation product developmentBasic Qualifications- Experience with prototyping and implementation - Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design or Master's Degree in CMF Design - 5+ years of professional CMF design experience. - Proven track record in hardware product development - Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Keyshot - Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials - Excellent color acuity (must pass Munsell Hue Color Test) - Strong project management and communication skills - Ability to work across time zones and travel internationallyPreferred Qualifications- Experience in consumer electronics or smart home products - Knowledge of sustainable materials and manufacturing practices - Experience working with Asian manufacturers - Portfolio demonstrating successful CMF implementation in mass-production Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
