Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Solano County, California. This role is ideal for someone who excels in financial reporting, compliance, and analysis. The position offers an opportunity to lead critical accounting processes and contribute to strategic decision-making. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. u2022 Prepare, review, and analyze complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements. u2022 Oversee the accounting of fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation schedules, and tracking capital projects. u2022 Handle lease accounting responsibilities, including maintaining asset registers and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. u2022 Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights that support organizational goals and strategic decisions. u2022 Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to guide fiscal planning. u2022 Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP standards and provide expertise on financial reporting requirements. u2022 Utilize NetSuite software for accounting functions and maintain advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance accounting processes and improve operational efficiency. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA or CMA certification (or active pursuit) is highly preferred. u2022 Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong background in manufacturing or consumer packaged goods industries. u2022 Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP standards and financial reporting practices. u2022 Proficiency in NetSuite software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential. u2022 Expertise in fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and capitalization. u2022 Demonstrated experience in lease accounting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. u2022 Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. u2022 Previous experience in Big 4 public accounting is strongly preferred.
