Coater Operator Swing & Graveyard Position Available! Pay: $21.00 + $1.50 Shift Differential / Hour Schedule: Night shift - Compressed Work Week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Days Worked: Sunday - Wednesday then Thursday - Saturday (Rotates every 2 weeks) Hillsboro, OR #hill1940 Position Summary: The coating process involves creating batches of ink applied to rolls of thermal transfer ribbon using industrial machinery. These ribbons are later used by customers to imprint barcodes. The Coater Operator must be proficient in running the coating machine, using basic math to determine the material needed for each order, and multitasking effectively. Job Description: Operate ink-mixing equipment Set up and manage controls on equipment to apply ink and back coat to film rolls Inspect finished rolls for defects Perform quality testing on finished products Replace rolls as necessary Place finished jumbo rolls on racks or in boxes as required Adjust equipment to ensure the quality of the finished product Requirements: High school diploma or GED required Previous machine operating experience preferred Ability to follow detailed instructions for mixing ink batches and setting up machine controls Comfortable working with ink-making chemicals in hot conditions Proficient in reading, writing, and following instructions in English Effective communication skills to coordinate with quality control Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) Strong multitasking abilities Ability to lift 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally Must pass a respirator test when working in hazardous chemical areas Contact Express Employment Professionals for immediate consideration: Call today for an immediate phone interview: 503-640-3600 Email resume: Apply online: We offer competitive wages, direct deposit, weekly pay, full medical, dental, vision, short and life term insurance options!
