As a member of the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Systems Engineering team you will: u2022 Perform in an accelerated, collaborative, dynamic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractors u2022 Ensure consistency of requirements and traceability back to customer objectives u2022 Develop the verification details for the requirements to ensure that the system can meet the requirements and support the execution of these verification activities u2022 Support the successful execution of program Interim Design Reviews u2022 Participate in the Development of systems engineering documentation such as feature description documents, trade studies, Interface Control Documents. u2022 Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. u2022 Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. u2022 Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Experience with one or more systems engineering functions including: a) Systems integration b) Requirements development c) System trade studies, CONOPS, and/or system modeling u2022 Ability to operate in a dynamic environment, tackle various assignments, and interface with numerous peers as part of the daily program operations u2022 DoD Interim Top Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required Desired Skills: u2022 Familiarity with risk management processes u2022 Strong presentation skills, agile speaker who can effectively brief audiences from different backgrounds and/or with varying technical knowledge u2022 Team player with demonstrated ability to participate in cross functional teams to achieve common goals u2022 Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills u2022 Working knowledge of complex missile or launch vehicle systems, missile or launch vehicle subsystems, including Electronics, Structures, Controls, Propulsion, Initiation, Reentry etc. u2022 General understanding of missile or launch vehicle design/assembly u2022 General knowledge of support equipment and operational procedures for missiles or launch vehicles u2022Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware products throughout the full life cycle of the program u2022 Proven track record of good judgment and programmatic execution vital to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations u2022 Knowledge of the Submarine Launch Ballistic Missile (SLBM) Strategic Weapon System u2022 Knowledge of Trident II (D5LE) Missile System design and operation, and interfaces to the Reentry System u2022 Experience with development of new missile systems and corresponding mechanical and electrical ground support equipment u2022 Experience in working with FBM Navy customer organization (Strategic Systems Program), including the Missile Branch, Reentry Branch and contractor support activity u2022 Ability to act as interface with Navy on Fleet and Facility support issues relating to the Trident II (D5) Missile Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
