This leadership position oversees daily operations, staff development, equipment lifecycle management, and project execution, contributing directly to the Clinic’s mission of delivering world-class patient care through innovation and operational excellence.A caregiver in this position works from 8:00AM - 5:00PM, with on-call requirements as needed. A caregiver who excels in this role will:Perform staff performance evaluations and training activities and assists with capacity planning for staff and contract labor.Ensure that equipment is maintained, secured, renovated, and deployed according to departmental/organizational policies, procedures, plans and initiatives.Assist with the development of and compliance with the departmental budgets, including capital, operating and construction budgets.Maintain knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements and ensure departmental compliance.Lead projects and initiatives within the work group.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & DevelopmentConduct performance evaluations, training, and mentorship for clinical engineering staff and contract personnel.Assist in workforce planning and capacity management to meet operational needs.Medical Equipment Management Ensure equipment is maintained, secured, renovated, and deployed in accordance with organizational policies and strategic initiatives.Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and safety.Financials & Resource Oversight Support the development and monitoring of departmental budgets, including capital, operating, and construction allocations.Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient use of resources.Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulatory and administrative requirements (e.g., FDA, Joint Commission, ISO).Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient use of resources.Project & Initiative Execution Lead and manage departmental projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with institutional goals.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology upgrades, renovations, and service improvements. Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational success.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of clinical engineering /medical device experience inclusive of 2 years of experience in a clinical engineering work leader and/or leadership role.Offset: Associates degree and 7 years related experience including 2 years leadership experience.Offset: Equivalent specialized or military training and 10 years related experience including 2 years leadership experience.Must include extensive experience in assigned area of specialization and leadership experience.Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) or Biomedical Engineering Technologist (BMET) preferred.Additional specialization (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, logistics) preferred depending on assigned area. Click the link and see how we’re dedicated to providing what matters most to you: Physical Requirements: Typical physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; ability to climb 8-foot ladders and work on overhead equipment.Ability to work in prone positions and in confined, darkened areas.Sufficient manual dexterity to use hand and power tools and work on small mechanical parts.Visual acuity sufficient to distinguish between colors used for wire color coding and read finely printed blueprints and schematics.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum Annual Salary: $92,620.00Maximum Annual Salary: $141,265.00The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
