This role requires a strong understanding of protein market dynamics and the ability to make profitable buying decisions that support business goals and customer needs.Job Responsibilities:Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned fresh protein commodities.Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain conditions to inform purchasing decisions.Make timely and profitable buying decisions based on market intelligence and business objectives.Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to optimize cost and ensure product availability.Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, consistency, and reliability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, quality assurance, and category management.Ensure compliance with food safety standards and company policies.Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and innovation.Strong understanding of protein markets and commodity pricing.Proven ability to interpret market trends and make sound, profitable purchasing decisions.Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
