Duties and Responsibilties of Job: JobTitle: Sourcing Advisor Location: Madison, WI (Hybrid Preferred) Type:Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension) Role OverviewThe Sourcing Advisor will act as a key liaison between internal businessteams and suppliers throughout the sourcing process. This role involvesmanaging sourcing activities, supporting category strategies, andensuring alignment with business requirements. The position requiresstrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to workcollaboratively across multiple functions. Project Scope Supportsourcing initiatives across various categories. Manage RFX processes(Request for Information/Proposal/Quote). Assist with supplierevaluation, negotiations, and due diligence. Provide contractingsupport and partner with internal teams to ensure compliance. Analyzespend and supplier data to inform sourcing decisions. Drive costoptimization while maintaining quality and mitigating risk. KeyResponsibilities Communicate updates on sourcing projects tostakeholders. Facilitate proposal analysis and supplier selection. Collaborate with contract teams to draft and revise agreements. Participate in negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes. Supportcategory management rollout and savings documentation. Maintainsourcing standards and educate internal teams. Identify alternatesuppliers and manage multiple projects simultaneously. RequiredQualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, orrelated field. 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement,supply chain, or related areas. Proven experience in suppliernegotiation and contract management. Strong proficiency in MicrosoftOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to workindependently and make decisions with limited information. Excellentcommunication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills Experiencewith ERP systems (e.g., SAP). Familiarity with sourcing analysistechniques (TCO, ROI, risk assessment). Hands-on experience withsourcing process execution.
